6" Kitchen Utility with stabilised cork oak handle.

£380.00
sold out

This absolutely stunning kitchen utility is forged in a clear space W’s pattern, using 1080 and 15n20 high carbon steels. The blade is just over six inches in length (15.5cm) and has a forged taper on the spine form 3mm to 0.4 at the tip. The handle is shaped in a western style but using a Japanese all wood construction. The wood itself is local stabilised cork oak for the main body and as you can see the figuring in the timber is quite striking. The bolster is African blackwood and I have added some copper and nickel spacers, along with my fancy ‘5’ pin to bring a little bling to the party!

The blade is carbon steel, has a flat grind that is finished on a slack belt and is hardened to 60Hrc (approx)

The overall weight of the knife is 154 g

NOTE - Carbon steel will patina over time so requires a little care to keep it looking at its best. I supply care instructions with every knife sent out.
